Frog Peak is pleased to announce a new
series of "chapbooks" with writings by Frog Peak artists.
Each Guppy contains a single, unusual work that explores the
possibilities of simple production media. We will produce them in
volumes of 4, and the first volume, which includes John Trubee,
Larry Polansky, Chris Mann, and Paul Schick, is available now. They

NEW FROG PEAK ARTIST: WILLIAM
BROOKS

William Brooks continues to be an important pioneer of American
experimental music, as a composer, performer, and writer. Well known
as one of the major forces in 20th century vocal music, he is also a
prolific composer, influential teacher, and widely read essayist on
Ives, Cage, and many other aspects of the American music experience.
Brooks currently lives in England, where he directs the York Vocal
Index, an ensemble devoted to challenging contemporary
music.
